We’ve launched EPIC, a brand-new design system for FreeWebStore stores, and it’s the biggest change to how a FreeWebStore store looks and works that we’ve ever shipped.
The short version: your store no longer has to look like everyone else’s. EPIC comes with a new editor and a growing library of sections and controls, so you can build the store you actually had in mind instead of bending your ideas to fit a fixed template.
EPIC is already live on hundreds of stores, and the early feedback has been the best we’ve ever had for a design release.
Build it your way
The new editor is the heart of EPIC. You choose the sections, the order they appear in, and how each one looks. Hero banners, product grids, feature rows, testimonials, rich text, image and text splits, galleries, FAQs, countdowns, promo strips — drop them in, move them around, restyle them, delete the ones you don’t want.
Every section has real controls behind it: colours, spacing, typography, backgrounds, alignment, image treatment, button styles, mobile behaviour. Two stores using the same sections can look nothing alike, which is exactly the point.
And the library keeps growing. We’re adding new sections, layouts and controls continually, and every one of them lands in your editor automatically. No upgrade, no rebuild, no re-theming. Your store gets more capable the longer you’re on it, and the design you build today has more to work with next month than it does now.

If you’re on a Ridge or Pro plan, you’ll hear from us directly. Over the coming weeks we’re building a working preview of each Ridge and Pro store in EPIC, using your own products, categories and branding, and we’ll send you the link when yours is ready. Some of you already have.
If you’re on any other plan, a self-serve version is on its way. You’ll be able to preview and switch to EPIC yourself, straight from your control panel, and we’ll announce it here as soon as it’s available.

Two things worth knowing
There’s nothing to migrate. Your live store, products, orders and customers stay exactly as they are. When you’re happy, the design is switched over and you’re live on EPIC with everything you already have.
Nothing changes until you say so. Your current design keeps running as normal, for as long as you need it. And the preview we build you is only ever a starting point — once you’re on the new editor, every part of it is yours to reshape.
