1. Please tell us a bit about your online store, The Urban Garnish Co.
Our online store is a self made venture providing premium drink and cocktail garnishes across all of Europe. The Urban Garnish Co. boasts the largest dehydrated fruit variety out there with unbeatable prices.
Along with our dehydrated fruit range we also have cocktail glass rimmers made from pure fruit orchid and a large edible glitter range (lustre dust) …. plus more garnishes in the pipeline to be announced later this year…just in time for Summer.
Prior to this we were in the hospitality and catering sector for twenty years. Hence our huge knowledge on the background and demand for our products.
2. Why did you decide to start your own business?
Mainly due to hospitality and catering hours. I lost twenty years of Christmasses, Summers, weekends and evenings plus any other calendar holidays so having freedom and flexibility and finally putting some time into myself for a change.
3. Do you have any advice for entrepreneurs starting out?
Don’t ever quit on yourself or your dream. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. Stay focused and give it 110% and in due time your dreams will become your reality.
4. What were the results you were hoping to achieve when you first signed up for a freewebstore?
Expand and reach a customer base a lot further than just local trade. It’s important because…well why limit yourself?…The world’s your oyster, as they say . Times have changed with the power of the Internet. We can reach any corner of the world. Take advantage of that option. Local newspaper ads and door to door flyers are a thing of the past…
5. What is your most popular product?
Our top 3 products are:

6. If you could choose one magic power, what would you go for?
Eternal life.
7. And finally, where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Hopefully expanded into a bigger warehouse with a second distribution hub expanding to more countries outside of the EU.
