What is Structured Data and how does it benefit my store?
"Structured data markup" is a standard way to annotate your content so machines can understand it. When your web pages include structured data markup, Google (and other search engines) can use that data to index your content better, present it more prominently in search results, and boost your ranking.
Can I test what structured Data is collected?
You can use the handy tool that Google provides to test the data that is collected.
1. Go to Google Developers Tools
2. Click the "Fetch URL" link
3. Copy a product URL from your store and then paste it into the area highlighted on the image above.
4. Click the "Fetch & Validate" link. You will then be able to see what data Google has extracted from your product page. This data will then be used to boost your seach engine ranking.
